There is no specific requirement here that you provide police clearances. However, if you can obtain them it may be helpful because a refugee claim will not be allowed if the IRB determines the refugee claimant:
is a security risk, have violated human or international rights, have committed a serious crime or have been involved in organized crime.
Thus, a police certificate showing you have not been involved in criminal activity can be used to establish that you are not ineligible on these grounds.

actually i already give them a pcc when my wife sponsored me before the hearing and she cancel the sponsorship when i went for the hearing and aproved as refugee so i dont know if they will restart my application from now or they will just transfer it from they time i applied as family class cuz the family class was sent in november 2011 and the refugee was send in august 2012
