Hi Guys

I have few doubts whether I need PCC for USA.

- I never stayed more than 6 months in US in one strech. But I did stay there multiple times for 178 or 179 days. Do i need pcc for USA
- if yes, can I make my wife prinary applicant to avoid this?

Regards
G

You are so close to the 6 months that in your case I would get the PCC. It would be different if you said I only stayed in US for 1 month.

Apply for the PCC. It doesn't hurt and you can provide LOE + receipt to show you applied.
Making your wife the PA does not matter as spouse of PA still has to undergo security checks

As per the latest instructions on IRCC website, if you have stayed in a country for a total of 6 months or more (not necessarily in a row), you need to obtain a PCC for that country. So it is obvious that you need a PCC from USA.

You'd definitely need PCC. Apply for it right away.

Thanks Guys. I asked this question on my friend's behalf. He is busy looking for how to apply for USA Pcc.
