hi everyone

i have completed my masters in finance from uk now i would like to know that do i require to write ielts or not

i am not really sure can anyone tell me that is it compulsory to write or not because one of my friend said its not compulsory if i have masters degree.

Until June 2010 you could use substituted documents for proof of English language, but from June 2010 onwards IELTS is compulsory for all principal applicants in Federal Skiller Worker class.

My wife and I were both born in England and have lived here all our lives. My wife has a Bachelor's degree and a doctorate (PhD) both from English Universities and I also have a degree from an English University.

And my wife still had to spend the £108 on the IELTS test proving to Canadians that we English people can speak English!

So if we have to do it, so do you!

IF i am not mistaken .. apart from IELTS you need to check your eligibility ... i dont think ACCOUNTANTS are currently listed in Required NOC list .....
If your FRIEND says you dont needs IELTS then tell him u dont need his ADVISE ....

my husband is US graduate and working in UK. He applied in 2008 but the application process started this year and still chc requested to submit ielts result too with other documents.
so no way u can escape it.

Its all the same everywhere Punnam.....they cannot change the pattern or level of difficulty as then the purpose to analyze the applicants WITHOUT DISCRIMINATION would be defeated.

perhaps speaking whould be easier as indians will question you in desi accent and will expect same in return however, in UK its all english accent but they do try to speak slowly so that you can think and listen carefully.. but reading writing and listning standards are same everywhere
