Do i need "IELTS" ?

Hello, i got accepted in fanshawe college. i wanna know that do i need to sit for IELTS exam ? I already have passing percentage in secondary school ENGLISH language. Will it make an obstacle in my study permit?
Will it affect my study visa ? im gonna apply for visa in july !!

my friends its nessary even i have scored 80marks in english C.B.S.E but still i have given it.....so its basic requirement of chc..

yes you will require it. I.E.L.T.S. is one of the hidden requirement of CHC.

Once you apply, the Registrar's Office will review your official, original transcripts to determine your eligibility for the program. We cannot confirm your eligibility by email.



When you are ready to apply to the program of your choice we will require the following from you:



· $115.00 CAD application fee paid by credit card.

· Official High School transcripts and any other post secondary transcripts.

· Career Investigation report if your program requires it.

· Proof of English proficiency such as TOEFL or IELTS

o for the required overall scores, please refer to the following website: English Language Proficiency. As you are from Pakistan, you are not required to provide an English Language Proficiency.

Once we receive your application please send your documents as soon as possible and we will assess them towards your program(s) of choice. If you qualify, you will be notified of your admissibility through your MyNAIT Portal and are required to pay a $250.00 non-refundable tuition deposit. Once your deposit is received your Letter Of Acceptance will be mailed to your address.

If you are applying for the English as a Second Language (ESL) program, please be advised that you will be required to pay the tuition fee in full for one semester of $4293.00 Canadian. Once the tuition is paid, a Letter of Acceptance will be mailed to your address.

chc......? may be under ssp IELTS is required by chc but here is pakistan i know many guys got visa without IELTS. i don't want to say that apply without IELTS. as IELTS is the factor of overall profile and with high score in IELTS visa chances are so high but its not mean a person can't apply without IELTS and its impossible visa without IELTS.

IELTS is must for NAIT admission and i think its mistake in message that was sent you that you are not required ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY.

BROTHER ITS WRITTEN IN UNIVERSITY CHECKLIST ALSO AND MAY BE YOUR RIGHT BUT IN INDIA I NEVER SEEN ANYONE GOT VISA WITHOUT IELTS AND WHY TO TOOK CHANCE...

Basically term "DIPLOMA" is confusing.

Previous Study: 3 Year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Equal to F.Sc or 12th Grade)
Future Study Plan(in Canada):2 Year Diploma Mechanical Designing and Drafting (This is equal to 2 year B.Sc or 2 year university degree undergraduate level or 14th grade)

I think now the things are clear.
