So my husband who is Canadian is hopeing to start our sponsorship by the end of the year (I'm from the UK)
I'm going through the documents checklist and looking into things we need and need to do, then it comes across (many times) I will need to provide police certificates and medical exams from family even if they don't plan on coming to Canada.
I guess this is meaning my mother, father and siblings (which it says on the application)

How do I go about this... I haven't spoken to my family for about 11 years. I don't know where they are or how to get a hold of them.
So this part I absolutely wouldn't be able to do.
Do I just leave it blank, would this ruin our sponsorship?

Any help or advice would be amazing!
Thank you :)

Family members - An applicant’s closest relatives, in the context of an application to CIC. It is defined as a spouse or common-law partner, dependent children, and their dependent children.

When filling out the Additional Family Information form, just put as much information as you know and include a letter explaining that you have no contact with them. It won't be an issue.

I suggest you move over to the Family Class section of the forum.
