Do I need a police certificate

My wife is eligible for citizenship in February 2026. She landed in Canada 3 years ago as a PR. She has not lived anywhere else. Does she still need a new police certificate? I asked because she submitted one with the PR application and then came strait to Canada without leaving in the past 3 years.

If she had lived in her home country in the year before landing, she would normally not need. IRCC, however can still ask for it.
