Hi everyone,

I already submitted my PCC for my PR application. I recently visited India for about 1 month.

Some sources say your PCC becomes invalid as soon as you step into your home country. Others, including IRCC, say a new PCC is only needed if you stay 6 months or more after the previous one.

Do I need to apply for a new PCC, or is the one I already submitted still valid?

Frankly I'd just wait to see if IRCC requests a new one, and I would guess they won't.

If it's very long to get a new one, then it might be advisable to apply for one to avoid a long delay if they do ask for it.

Two things here:
1. You had a PCC, but then you visited India and then you submitted your application against ITA -> Get a new PCC
2. You had a PCC, got an ITA, you submitted your application against ITA, after that you visited India -> No need for a new PCC
