Cheers guys,

I am new to this forum and haven't found a specific answer to an issue I have:

Since the approvals for study permit applications take longer than expected I deferred from January to March intake. This also got approved by my college (however, they told me I don't need a confirmation letter for the deferral and they said I just have to wait for the approval).

My question is: Do I let CIC know or is it not necessary since my permit gets issued by the visa border officer upon arrival in Canada? I just don't want to screw up my application process. We've all waited for long enough...

Many thanks in advance,

Daniel

I had applied for May 2021 intake and waiting for approval.... but now I'm planning to defer to Sep 2021 (but my visa application already in process for may)

You could upload the new LOA through the webform option, I too deferred my intake and updated my LOA. Although I haven't received any confirmation, I am hopeful my visa once approved, would be on my new LOA basis.

My private college said I don't need to send them anything because the study permit will get issued at the border. But I guess it doesn't hurt to still send it via the webform
