hey everyone

just curious if I include my application to change conditions, extend my stay or remain in Canada as a worker (opw) app, with my spousal app and do I send it to the same place ? thats on the bottom of the spousal check list which is the following,

CPC-M, PO Box 5040 STN B, Mississauga, ON, L5A 3A4

cheers

Pat

Yes. This will give you the implied status that has been discussed in your other thread(s).

If you had already sent your Inland application, you would have needed to send the OWP application to the Vegreville, Alberta address.

thank you, sorry about all the questions etc just trying to figure it all out, I'm putting the last of my touches to it and I'm sending both applications out to Mississauga tomorrow.

That is what this forum is for! Dont be shy at asking questions even if its repetitive, rather safe than sorry when once you send in the application it will take months to get to it, and if there is any issues/problems it will only add to the app. process time.

Good Luck on your application!

ravcat, how long does it take for cic to acknowledge that they received my application, I know it arrived in Mississauga because It was signed for by someone who works there. I'm just curious if they tell you they have it and then they start the process or do you just have to wait? My current visa is up on the 30th even tho it was signed for by someone in cic this gives me implied status ?

Yes, it does...however, if your application (either your sponsorship application and/or your OWP) is returned to you (because of a missing signature or an outdated form), or insufficient fees for the OWP, you would lose your implied status.

Hopefully, you triple checked everything! ;)

I'm pretty sure we checked everything. what can potentially happen if you lose implied status, does cic give you sufficient time to send in what you are missing ? I payed the spousal / sponsor fees and the owp and extensions fees. fingers crossed everything is ok
