If you earned money in Canada, you file taxes. As simple as that.

Even if you didn't earn any money you have to file your taxes for 2015. It is one of your civic duties as a member of the Canadian society. Also, you may be entitled for tax credits for the upcoming years.

Probably you have to fill tax return, but there are some exceptions, depending on your personal conditions.

Being here since October, most probably will allow you to get a tax return, so better do it, hurry up, deadline is close.


Deadline is usually April 30, but this year could be May 5

If you haven't made any money you don't need to. But you should do it as you'll probably be entitled to GST Credit.
