DO I CONTACT LOCAL MP FOR SOWP APPLICATION?

My wife's SOWP application is still in progress since May 2021 and this year on advise of IRCC we resubmitted the application in February. Since I have not received any updates on the application progress, can we plan to involve the local MP here and share with them the information that they request for inquiry like UCI, Identification card details for the applicant etc. ?

Where does your spouse live? Or is spouse in Canada? If you resubmitted your first application should have been cancelled. You can ask your MP and then can provide you with an update but they can't expedite a file.

Processing states an average of 41 weeks. Was your first application cancelled?

I am unsure if the first was . A little background to this is that I have applied it through lawyers hired by my company. How can I know if the application was cancelled? Whenever I call IRCC, they do not take calls to an agent.

If your lawyers did the first application then ask them to look it up through their account. Or can you log on and see the status?
