Hello everyone.
I applied to the Express Entry online form, and I assumed that I have a one year experience of continuous full time job and luckily I got accepted as eligible, but because I still don't have that one year experience so now I have to start working for that one year of full-time as a freelance web developer.
But as a future freelancer, I'm worried about not checking the box of continuity because:
I applied to the Express Entry online form, and I assumed that I have a one year experience of continuous full time job and luckily I got accepted as eligible, but because I still don't have that one year experience so now I have to start working for that one year of full-time as a freelance web developer.
But as a future freelancer, I'm worried about not checking the box of continuity because:
- What if I take a few weeks off for vacation or few days off til I find a new client? Would it still be considered as continuous? and I read somewhere that I shouldn't exceed a month of not working to not be considered as a gab, because the EE program only accepts months and not the days when submitting the working periods, is that right?
- If the condition is 30h per week and multiplied to 50 weeks yields 1560 hours, so if I take some days off (if it's allowed), I should work for more than 30h for few weeks to compensate my days off? If not, how is it possible to work for straight 50 weeks?
- What if it took more than a year (14 months for example) to reach the 1560 hours of work? Would it be considered as one year of experience, Just like the part time job of 2 years is considered as a 1 year?
- What about the fixed price projects, how am I supposed to prove the amount hours I spent on that specific projects? Or I think I should avoid these type of jobs?
- Final question, what do you recommend me to do early in my career? Avoid clients and work only for companies remotely? Work for only 1 company for a year? How do I take some days off for vacations?
