Hi guys,
At the end of this year I am getting married in my future wife's country (Indonesia), and after the wedding we will submit a sponsorship application (so that she can get her Canadian PR), and while the application is being processed, I plan to stay there so that I could be by her side. (I'm a Canadian citizen by the way).
My question is: is it sufficient to include, in the sponsorship application package, a translated marriage certificate that's been legalised by a sworn translator?
If the above is sufficient, then great. But if not, how do I go about registering the marriage without having to fly all the way back to Canada after the wedding? Perhaps I just need to go to the Canadian embassy in Indonesia, and let them take care of the matter?
Thanks!
