Hi,

I received ITA and am collecting documents at this stage. My bank, Chase, refused to provide a letter on a letterhead detailing the information as requested by CIC. Instead, they provide a standard printout which mentions the date that account was opened, average balance over 12 months etc.

However, it is not on a letterhead (although carries bank logo), does not carry signature or email or a particular address of the branch, and does not provide debt information such as credit card / loan etc. I have a couple of questions:

Did any of you also face this situation? How did you work it out?

Just get this letter and ask them to mention one more sentence that "This customer is not indebted to the bank" which will make it suitable.
Also ask them to stamp this letter.
