Hello everyone,,
I am a visual artists and i sell prints of my work. My work permit is up and i can not get another one due to the IEC changes but am hopefully switching to visitor status as my common law application gets put together. I have let y employers/clients know i can not do any commercial work for them but was thinking perhaps i can still make a little money selling prints. I cant see how my art would impact the labour market in Canada.

If anyone has any insight to this i would love to here from you.

thanks.

I believe that this would make you self-employed and therefore need a work permit.

Yes - you need a work permit. You cannot sell art/prints on a visitor visa - that will be classified as working illegally. There's no grey area here.
