DNA Test

I am 2013 applicant and unfortunately still waiting for PR visa. I got medical + PCC + RPRF request November 2014 and I provided everything except my wife medical because he was pregnant. Once my baby was born in July 2015 I contacted CIC and they ask to do DNA test. I paid the fee and it has been one year now but I didn't get any email from CIC regarding the perform of DNA test. Is it normal to wait such a long time. Anyone can advice.
