Hi, we have received a DM without receiving any Medical Request. It also states to wait for the VO to contact us regarding the result of the DM. Is this a bad sign? Also, will a bad credit rating affect our application and what if I closed 1 of the bank accounts that I have declared, is this a ground for rejection even if I still have sufficient funds in my other accts? Please help coz we're getting kinda worried. thank you so much.

DM without medical is typically a sign of refusal. But it's impossible to say for certain. You'll have to wait until you hear from the VO.

We passed our papers on Oct 2013, it was returned to us on January 2014 coz we were unable to fill up other information, we sent it back first week of February. Again it was returned to us around June coz we forgot to fund the debit card we stated as we were under the impression that they will just charge it after approval. We immediately send it out again.We received our UCI around October and the DM this year January 15. Thanks.

When applications are refused at this stage, it is usually because the VO is not satisfied with the work experience documents submitted or could not verify the information regarding the work experience (from their personal enquiry with the employers) for the primary NOC. There are some cases where VO rejects case due to "work experience not matching the NOC". But you should get a letter explaining the exact reason for refusal.
Your best bet is to prepare for a new application under the express entry system if in fact you get a refusal.

Thanks Namaste, Is there a way for us to appeal? I have reviewed everything over and over and I just cant see any reason for refusal. If it is due to employment, I wonder does a company buy out affect the DM directly? My previous company was just bought thus the change of company name, however I have already sent a new Certificate of Employment which also states the buy out...

You can certainly appeal. I would wait to hear from the visa office first (you don't even know for sure that you have been refused yet). You will need the assistance of a lawyer to properly appeal and should expect this to cost several thousand dollars.
Thank you so much guys for your replies and advise. Least we have a rough idea of what might be going on though we certainly hope it's not what it is. Thanks for enlightening us. Scylla was right, we will just wait for the letter to come and will keep everybody posted.
