Divorce from PR applicant?

Good evening,

My husband and I are getting divorced. We are South Africans, he got a skilled worker PR, and my son and I also have PR's through him. We have been living in Canada for 1 year, we did our first landing 3 years ago. My husband is now leaving Canada and will not be returning, so he will loose his PR. My son and I want to continue living in Canada - how is this possible?

As long as you and your son can meet the residency requirement for PR (living in Canada for 730 days out of every five rolling years) - you can keep your PR status. The fact your husband has returned home will not impact your status.
