Divorce certificates requested. Never was married before

Cic requested divorce certificates however neither of us were perviously married. What can we do?

They also requested a new schedule a but the one attached is from 2012. What to do?

What do you mean by "the one attached"? The date of the form? Sounds like an erroneous request, either that or a generic letter. Can you let us know the contents of the request letter?

Yupp so they said additional info is needed and referenced teo dates on schedule a needs to be updated so they attached schedule a but the version is from 2012 that they attached to the email. They asked for proof that im pregnant and they asked for divorce certificates for my husband from his baby mother and divorce certificates for me... neither of us have been married prior

Nope. They broke up before he found out she was pregnant. We answered no to the question on the form that asks if we have ever been married or common law

So, which confirms that he had been in relationships with mother of his child before he met you, otherwise how else she got pregnant, st.spirit?
As far as they consern it is considered as serious relationship. Therefore in appropriate form he had to declare previous relations with that woman as common-law or whatever other option there is. As result they will see he wasn't married in the first place and request for divorce certificates would be eliminated.

They werent in a serious relationship and nothing was ever declared to the government in the country he lived in. I was never married and am being asked for divorce certificates. It makes no sense to me. They were never common law. They never lived together. Ever

If they communicate with you via email then it could be either generic email or faulty request (for divorce papers). Either way, if it was an email from them and you feel it doesn't apply to your situation, you have to call IRCC and figure what exactly they want from you.

ircc wont help because mexico vo sent it so they are limited. Im waiting for a response from mexico

If anyone could advise how i should proceed - they are asking for things that dont exisit. Is an explanation letter sufficient?

Ask the help of your MP to have the requirement waived. Or you can send a letter addressing the irrelevant request.

Is this fairly simple to have done? does it affect anything? what is the best course of action? to get the MP involved? im worried as to how this could affect the application... i also question the version of the schedule A they sent me (from 2012)... do i fill out that one and send it to them or the most recent version? ive emailed mexico but they take quite some time to get back to me

Best way? Ask the help of your MP regarding the irrelevant request, at most you're gonna get an answer within a week if your MP will be helpful. For Schedule A, if you're unsure do both old and new if you're sending it via email.
