Please help me with my issue.

I have Completed two years diploma and have two-year work experience in Canada. I applied open work permit for my husband in 2016 and he is also here but because of some issues, we want to get separated. We have been living separately for two years but did not apply for a divorce as he would not get an open work permit. Our work permit is expiring on Sep 2020.
  • We both want to get a divorce as soon as possible but we are confused that should we apply for PR first or divorce?
  • If we apply for divorce, would it be possible that my husband's open work permit will be canceled?
  • Can we apply PR separately? He has Canadian experience for two years as a Welder.
Thank you...!!

You can not apply for PR together if you have been living separately for 2 years. If you were separated when he applied for SOWP based on your PGWP you have already lied to the government once which could lead to negative results.
