Distance Education eligible for Canada PR

Hi,

I have completed my bachelors and masters (MCA) from Punjab Technical University (PTU), Jalandhar (INDIA) with distance education programmes in 2007 and 2009 respectively. I have about 8.5 years experience in IT with MNC company and currently in USA on H1B visa and planning to settle in Canada with my family.
So little bit confuse while reading a line "Distance learning counts, but only if it made up less than half your study" . I have not given the IELTS exam yet but need 8777 i think.
Appreciate the answers in advance...
