how come business students have to provide GMAT/GRE in order to fulfill admission criteria for master programs. students have very limited options here to choose universities in Canada. its expensive, time taking and difficult to score good. would you agree its kind of discriminative behaviour with business students???

Big organisations require technological advantage over their competitors and that is why they sponsor a lot of projects in engineering domain which result in producing huge funds for these programs and hence universities are able to offer a lot of different courses/ departments in these fields and also set less fee for master courses, particularly in engineering. Also engineering students get more chance of getting funding and scholarship. It's not discrimination but the requirement and high demand of research in these fields which somehow helps engineering students.

No - not discriminative against business students at all. To be discriminative, only business students would have to be impacted.

You have to write the LSAT to get into all/most Canadian law schools. You have to write the MCAT to get into most Canadian medical schools.

Business students are by no means being singled out.

so its mean engineering is the only course is being given an advantage overall......if I knew it during my intermediate I'd definitely have choosen engineering, making my life easier!!!

GRE is required for research degrees specifically related to computer science and engineering , GMAT for business and MCAT for medical ...basically these are the tests to judge the student's ability for studies ... I think there is no discrimination...
