Hi guys,

I am in the process of collecting all my documents needed for my application but I had a question regarding the name on my work visa document and my passport as there is a slight discrepancy.

On my passport, my name is shown as "Barrios, Walter-Philip II" (my legal first name is Walter-Philip II, as I share my first name with my father). On my work permit (aka post graduate work permit) my name is stated as "Barrios, Walter Philip I".

The discrepancy here in name is not significantly different, as there is only one numeral missing after my legal first name.

I am wondering if this difference will cause any delays in the processing of my application. I believe this is a mistake from CIC, since they also mispelled "Philippines" on "country of birth" on my post graduate work permit. They spelled it as "Philippi".

However, my passport number is correct on both my WORK VISA and PASSPORT.

Can anyone shed any light or advice on this? Should I request for a new visa from the CIC with proper spelling? Or may I proceed with my application as normal with no expected delays?

Thanks
