disability benefit effect on visa

i have paranoid Schizophrenia but i still function and work.i applied for disability benefit from social security and got a positive answer yeterday and i will probably start recieving it 28 this month.can i still get a visa even though i am recieving disability benefit ? and if i decide not take the payments they still know/dont know that i applied for it?

To be accepted for PR, you must demonstrate that you will not be a burden on Canada's health care or social systems. If you are receiving a disability benefit in your current country then it may be more difficult for you to prove to CIC that you won't be a burden in Canada.
