Hello all, I'm in need of advice regarding what majors are worth picking up for 2 years diploma in Canada. And also if getting a job after college is even possible for international student?

I'm interested in Biotechnology and laboratory technician, but I'm concerned these fields are not high in demand there. Any advice on what courses/majors that can be helpful in get a job after completing diploma will be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Whether you are interested or not what are your current qualifications / work experience given that might be the first challenge just to get a study permit if studying as bio or lab technician are not relevant

Before I even apply for study permit don't I first need acceptance letter from college/university first?

Well I'm still haven't started applying as I'm concerned with picking 2 years diploma or advanced diploma and what courses to even apply for.

First there are 545 biotech companys in Canada. So there is a good base for jobs primarily in big cities. We also have our biotech based Marijuana Industry. Study the course offerings of several colleges. For example, George Brown works with pharma companies. Niagara College works with Marijuana and so on.
