Hi Guyz,

Hope all are healthy, I have a query regarding NOC 2281 – Computer network technician's Diploma Type. As per WES my 2 years Bachelors in Computer Science is assessed as Major in "Science" 2 years Diploma though in my Transcript Computer Science subject is mentioned but not on Degree (on Degree it's Bachelor of Science mentioned).

My more than 10 years of work experience is in Network and development path and currently working in UAE, do I still qualify for NOC 2281 or it's important that degree or WES should have computer science mention somewhere to qualify for NOC2281 ?

I see below while looking at NOC 2281 details

https://noc.esdc.gc.ca/Structure/NocProfile/10e9f0b8235440448d51cbe5209709b8?objectid=pHmvPoFOxwjr5fllWWST6b8/Ihzp2rmdMBRbkNecoRPhPOZCBTqnCV5Z2KpLSH0r

Employment requirements
  • Completion of a college or other program in computer science, network administration, Web technology or a related field is usually required.
  • Certification or training provided by software vendors may be required by some employers.
  • Registration with a regulatory body is required in Saskatchewan.

Thank you

If your duties and responsibilities match the NOC, then yes you can use it. As for degree it states “usually required.” Are you going through SINP because then you need a license and your education must match the NOC.

License ? for what and how..
ECA is not enough?

I'll also apply for other provinces if this is the case for SINP

If you are applying to SINP, you need a license. All the information is on the SINP website.
