Digital Photocopy USA Marriage Certificate, Need Certification?

I have a digital photocopy of the marriage certificate. This copy is not certified. We got married in NY, USA. Do I need to certify it? or just a good photocopy is fine?

i believe only a photocopy is required. i don't recall sending in a certified copy, and i know i did not go out of my way to get anything notarized. what does the country specific guide suggest?
