Anyone know a place in the US which takes passport sized similar photos but for Canadian specs ? All common photo services (e.g. Walmart, Walgreens, etc.) seem to only take photos according to US passport photo standards ..

check cvs, and if it is still not the same, go with the page for photo and headsize specification from cic website, and ask they take the photograph according to that standard and cut it to fit

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/photospecs-cit.asp

Guys,

I am running into the same problem .. I am in USA . I checked with Costco and Walgreens , they donot do that ..

ahmadka --- did you get your photo ?

print out the spec sheet and take it with you.

I got mine done at Walmart.

or you can google "passport photos" for your community and look for the most professional photography shop.

Walgreens will do it. Tell them to take your picture. When they upload to the Kiosk, in the Country dropdown select Canada.

You can also try http://www.ePassportPhoto.com. You just need to upload your photo and select the correct size. They will print it at your nearest Walgreen store. After all attempts to get correct size of photo, I went for this option. Works really good !

Yes guys ,

I went yesterday to walgreens and do select kiosk - Australia -- since Aus is 35 mm by 45 mm , Canada is more than that dimension (some 50 by 70)

But you know what ... the lady printed the photo on a bad quality paper , she cut the photo in cross and photo color was not good , shadow ...

So frustrated and came back ... Then one guy helped me to photoshop it to correct size ..

But tell me guys .. Even if it is 35 by 45 , when you open the jpeg in windows photo viewer , will it appear big ? or it will look like 35 mm by 45 mm ?

Hi sraj07 - why did not you select Canada from the drop down. I did the same at the Kiosk.

because Canada was showing some 50 mm by 70 mm . But post ITA the requirements was 35 mm by 45 mm .

if you are talking about uploading the photos after ITA, then you can get the photo done with any photo editing software, even MS Paint. the only photos that matter are sent after you get PPR
