Hi All,

I am in the US and trying to get a digital phto with the canadian PR Specification. I went to Walgreens and they were offering me a Canadian Passport size photo with dimension 50mm x 70mm. Will that work? Or do you have any suggestions to get it done.

Thanks.

have you tried private photographers? I mean professionals in your area?

50mm x 70mm
It will work fine just see the place in the ITA where it shows specification it sayd atleast that size so if you getting this size 50mm x 70mm that will still work fine

I got mine done at Wall-Greens too. The 50mm x 70mm works completely fine.
Just make sure you get the wall green seal with date behind of the photos.

The Seal and Date stuff is required post PPR. He is asking for EAPR stage.

The Canadian passport size is usually the same specifications so just look at that and compare it to the eAPR instructions. Also please see the following which indicates that sending a diff size etc. will not cause them to reject your application:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/final.asp

It says:
At this time, the electronic photos uploaded by applicants cannot be used for the permanent residence card; therefore, CIC will not reject an application as incomplete if the photos submitted do not comply with CIC’s prescribed photo specifications.

The ‘Passport Request’ letter, therefore, includes a request for hard copy photos. Applicants are instructed to mail these photos to CIC.

Hence since those photos you submitted online are not actually used for the PR card it should be just fine and if anything they will just ask to resubmit.

Did you use the same picture during the submission of your PR application post ITA.
I just submitted my eAPR. I scanned the photo and uploaded the same.
