Hi Friends,

I got the passport size photo scanned as prescribed.
But the size of the pics of daughter is 59Kb and my spouse's is 60.5 Kb

CIC , in the document checklist says the ideal size is 240 Kb but it should not be less than 60Kb.

Another requirement is that the minimum resolution must be 600 pixels per inch. How can I check the pixels of the current pics I have ?

Please let me know~

You'll have to check the JPEG properties. You may have to increase the scan to a higher quality to make the file size bigger.

Do we have to upload the back side too ? And write our details ?

No, for uploading digital photos while submitting the PR application online, you do not need to write or scan the back side of photos

Ah ok thanks, I guess that was for other pr programs ?

Paper applications, in case the photo got lost from the rest of the pile.

Physical photo is required as part of your PPR request where CIC stamps the passport with a CoPR.

I scanned the pics with higher quality of scanning and got its size increased to 118 Kb.
However, its resolution is 300dpi

CIC want the resolutions to be 600 dpi atleast...
How to increase the resolutions.... any thought please...

This is possible in Photoshop. Send it across and I can give it a try
