Different processing times?

I guess it all depends on which stream are you in/how easy/simple your application for them to process but

I am seeing these threads that some DEC/JAN applicants are stuck in waiting for IP and some Feb applicants get into process
so I guess they are not just stacking up files and process one by one in order of receipt?

My guess is if someone's application seems to take a long time to process (etc in terms of security/background check whatever), they move on the next application and let them get into IP?

You can never figure out CIC method of processing. I guess there are many different factors that influence how an application is processed. I am a Jan applicant and I've had IP for 7 weeks.
