Different date of birth

Recently while filling up the information (date of birth of my mother) in PR application, I found that I made a mistake and filled incorrect DOB in my previous application for work permit. What should I do? Now, If I fill different DOB (correct), will it affect my PR application?

Is there any requirement of writing an application explaining change of DOB of my mother in this application from previous application of work permit ? Should I attach any of the proof which shows the actual DOB?
