What is the difference between tourist visa for spouse and temporary residence visa (without work permit) for spouse?

no difference...u have to apply for temporary resident visa for ur spouse if ur not applying for work permit...there is no tourist visa as such.....u do the 5257 form i believe not sure please verify the number....if ur from india on vfs site there is only one section for visitor......
