Difference between Criminal check and security check

Hello,

This is a case of spousal sponsorship.

I just received my GCMS notes and there it is stated that, I have passed the criminality check, but in security section, it is shown as Not started.

I have a few questions regarding the same.
What is the difference between security check and criminality check? What parameters do they look for in the security check?

Could senior members throw some light on the same?

1. Pretty straight forward, criminality, Do you have a criminal record? Security are you a member or support of a terrorist organization
