diff between settlement funds and assets in economic classes form

Hi

In the "Economic classes" form, section 12, there are 2 different columns for ASSETS and Settlement FUNDS.

could anyone explain the difference and what documents shall be provided as proof for each.

Settlement funds = Assets - Liabilities


Asset = Fixed Deposits, bank balance etc.
Liabilities = credit card debt, home loan etc.
SF = documents that show property or capital payable to you (such as stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills, etc.), cash etc.

hey thanks for the input ....

I am going to show amount equal to 15000 CAD in fixed deposit money .... i.e the minimum amount of funds required for 2 people.

what else can I provide as proof of additional settlement funds ....
or shall I put same amount in both columns.
