Hi there,

We sent in our application last month (mid February) but now realized that I didn't fill in "N/A" in all of the non-applicable parts of the table in IMM5406. I don't have any children and only have two siblings.

Will this mean that our application will be rejected or can I send them another copy with the "N/A" filled in or will they send us an email to re-send the form once they have looked at it?

Maybe someone here has any experience with this? We're freaking out here at the moment as my status is running out. Thanks so much for all the information you guys are sharing here!!

It seems to vary from officer to officer. I did not write N/A on the checklist, and there were no issues.

At this point in time no, until you have an AOR there's no way to specify which file to attach your new form to.

will they send us an email to re-send the form once they have looked at it?

Either it won't be an issue and everything will proceed as normal. Or if the officer opening it had cold coffee that morning they will return it.

There's really nothing you can do at this point in time, so there's really no use worrying over it. Easy to say, hard to do, I know.

Best of luck.

I doubt they will return it just for not writing N/A on a few parts. It's pointless to send in another copy, you'll just have to wait and see.

Thanks you two so much for the quick responses. We will hope for the best and until then... patience, I guess.

Similar problem over here.

I was filling out some of our forms too and I noticed that some irrelevant fields will automatically gray out when you select a certain option. Does this mean I have to print the form out instead? It sounds like a silly question but I want everything to be perfect when I submit the forms. :D

My impression was that the grey fields really disable you to fill in anything, so you should be fine about those - but please correct me if I'm wrong and I'd love to hear about other people's experiences with this issue!
