I am curious about those who have submitted their FSW applications: Did you staple together individual pages of a form? Many of the required forms have multiple pages, and these could get mixed up. I hate to see my submission dropped on the floor at the CIO. So, did you staple them? Or do I use only paper clips?

Similarly some of the documents that we submit have multiple pages e.g. my bank statements. Do I staple these?

Note, I am not talking about stapling the entire 40+ pages of the application all in once. Just individual pieces of paper that should logically go together.

Thank you in advance,
O. O.

no, they stated that it should not be stapled nor clipped, it's in the checklist I think :-)

Thank you chonaemotera for confirmation. I read this too, hence I was hesitant. I was sure that stapling or binding the entire application was out of picture. I was wondering if I could do it only for individual documents. Hence my question.

I'd be grateful if others chime in too.

I also had the same question. It just doesn't make sense to not staple the pages of a specific form or evidence together.

Any confirmation based on prior experience would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

I used paper clips when I sent my application... I don't think I will receive a letter of rejection that your application was rejected because you used paper clips :D :D :D :D

I will do the same i guess and keep my fingers crossed for you and me! Good luck. Seems like we are applying for the same NOC from the same location.

CIO will scan all ur docs .it will be difficult in case papers are stapled.better use paper clips if at all required or leave the papers lying straight in the envelope.
Ya avoid paper pins too

Hello guys,

do not use paper clips of any sort, plastic or metal. The instructions were clear that the documents, wether entire application or individual forms were not to be stapled.

Just arrange the application forms and supporting documents in the order they are listed in the checklist, place in your envelope and submit.

All the best.

Thank you guys for the clarification.

Nothing happens if you use a staple, please your common sense..

Does CIO has lot of time to gather your documents...if u not gonna..they will mix with each other

and there is a chances of documents slip or any loss

I stapled my documents.nothing happened

dont use staple all together only

Hi, you make it sound as if the people at CIC are careless and incompetent or do you have evidence that they routinely lose documents? The people selected to process FSW applicatonos are carefully selected, they are not stupid. The fact remains that a lot of people use their 'common sense' and stick to the instructions. And those who stick to instructions are very much likely to succeed. Cheers.

The instructions say: "Attach small items such as photos and certified cheques with a paper clip, otherwise leave documents unbound."

Thank you very much BritishGuy, let's underline that last part for emphasis; leave documents unbound

I think this should be plain enough for people who want to use 'staples' in any way.

Cheers.

I have submitted my application today and left all documents unbound. If cic return it back asking me to staple it and send it again, will let you guys know!! Lool
