I've applied as an in-land applicant for spousal sponsorship PR in April, 2016

While I was anticipating 2 years wait as everyone else, the notices have come through much earlier than I've expected,

And now, in June 2017, I'm attending the PR interview.

Did they speed things up, or does it just mean my documents were thorough?

I've been living in Canada for 15 years and have been dating my sponsor for about 10 years and made sure everything was clearly put in the documents, if that helped me.

What do you guys think? Anyone got their interviews MUCH earlier than they've expected?

A friend of mine who's in a very similar situation has waited 2 years, and got his PR in Jan 2017.

I thought you only got interviewed if there was a bit of doubt regarding your application. I'm wondering why they are interviewing you even after you've dated your partner for so long.

Your timeline is not unusual. Inland processing times have varied from 1-2 years.

It is a landing interview, not a relationship interview.
