Did not receive passport back from vfs

Hello Folks,

I am resident of India waiting to receive my passport with a student visa stamp from VFS office. I sent it on Dec 2, 2020 but haven't received it back yet. I have received a tracking number but it is not very helpful on timings. I know normally it takes 15 days to receive it back. My agent told me my passport was sent to Canada for stamping but I doubt him. I am wondering if anybody else in India sent and received back stamped passport in Dec?

Did you get tracking number through email or SMS after your passport received by vfs? My passport has been delivered on 30th December but no tracking or acknowledgement from vfs yet.

Seems like due to holidays, visa stamping process slows down at high commission.

Passports are not sent to Canada for stamping. If your application is approved then it will be stamped at one of the canadian visa offices in India. Which city did you apply from?

Passports are not sent to Canada for stamping. If your application is approved then it will be stamped at one of the canadian visa offices in India. Which city did you apply from?

I applied from Punjab.
