File separation is not the issue. The question is that if only one name is written on the first page, so are we suppose to provide details (absences, medical records etc. ) for only him and for both adults and minors???

Masfari, We made application with such a great effort. We includes kids school records( progress reports of each term in the all three year) and a cover letter from all school office.
he traveled to London, UK 2 times for his studies. We did include a letter from London Business School that he has two elective course as a part of his MBA program. The dates mentioned by school tally with the stamps.
Also included the records of Rotman Business school (U of T), scan University IDs of both universities.

he was self employed just after studies to setup his consultancies for like a year but then fulltime employed fpr almost 2 years. and no travel in last 2 years.

We send the all passport copies with all cancellation stamps translated.
Did he travel during the self employment period? Its not clear from your post. This could be the reason. Alternatively maybe a quality control random file selection. Only way is to get GCMS notes but they may be redacted for RQ reasons.

A few posters have said they got their RQ reason from the CIC call center agents. RQ appears to be just for the main applicant so that's for whom you would need to send required docs. No harm in applying for your records too where needed but providing CIC with stuff from someone they didn't ask may flag something else up.

If its a consolation Pre-Test RQs are the preferable RQ to have if RQd..they seem to add circa 8 months to the process. Send what you can in 45 business days - if you haven't got a document state in a covering letter that you will send it when obtained...CIC know the drill. What's your local office?

Use Only In Certain Circumstances paragraph...but hey CIC have been known to let the rules slide so no harm in trying to split the file..nothing to lose right?

I don't think travelling during employment period trigger RQ. Many people have full time job which gives them about 3 weeks per year vacation. Most of them travel abroad during this vacation.

do you know anyone got RQ for this reason

Thanks

It can be an issue if you don't have a rock solid evidence (such as a full time job) to prove your residency. Even if you have a full time job, I'd advise against travel abroad, especially to the US.

Travel was during his degree program, it was mentioned as a study time in history. but no travel as a self employed. Our local office is Saskatoon. We stayed 2 years in Mississauga. Got a great job so moved here. The RQ is issued from Saskatoon. The letter date is Oct 4 and we got it on 7.
Now questions are:
1. How to obtain health records from Ontario. How long will it to get OHIP records usually? and from another province????
2. How to get CBSA report. and time frame

So your RQ issued by the local office at Saskatoon not from Sydney Nova Scotia ?
