Did anybody received a request to submit w2 from past years of employment?

In my case, i was on bench and was unpaid for 8 months last year. If they ask me to provide w2 for 2009 it will show total salary of just 4 months I worked. However I can provide w2 for 2008 when I worked for whole year. I have pay slips for all the months in this year.

My question is: when they request for document, do they ask generally to show the proof of employment or do they ask specifically which particular documents do they want to see as a proof of employment? because if they ask for general proof, I can show them most recent pay slips and employment letter. But if they ask to specifically w2 from previous year, i might be in trouble!!!

Also please share your views with me and members who already has received request to submit their document, please describe how they were asked to present employment proof.

i think as per the checklist, u only need to send the reference letter. hope it helps

so does that mean that they don't specifically ask us to submit any document in particular? and we just submit documents as listed in the attached list?
