Can anyone who has gotten the Medical share details on the tests/examinations that are done, or kindly point us to some resource listing these things? Perhaps more so than any other aspect of the application, the medical is one I'm worried about. Before doing an official PR Medical (by CIC-certified panel physician), I want to do my own medical that mimics as closely as possible what the PR medical would look like. I plan to go to my family physician and have her do a panel of tests presumably similar to what CIC requires panel physicians to do, because I need to see the results that will be sent to CIC. Anyone have any idea?

You seem to be too worried about medicals, dear. :D
It's nothing but simple set of medical tests. So, unless you have a serious medical condition, you don't need to be too worried about it.

However, since you've asked about the tests, here is the complete list of medicals.

- Blood examination: Routine blood count, HIV, Hepatitis, Syphilis
- Urine examination: Sugar, protein, microscopic
- Physician examination: Complete body check up including any scar of surgery or else, hernia, etc.
- Chest X-ray:
- Height-weight

Unless you have enough money to waste, you don't need a PRE-test with your family physician like you said ;D

I'm no longer a young lady, I don't have the luxury of being in peak physical health. And if I'm going to be spending over a thousand bucks on this Canada PR application, I'd at least like to know that there won't be some medical condition that would automatically disqualify me. Better to find out sooner than later in the application process.

Hi, sorry if I sounded rude. My intention was not to hurt your feelings. I understand your concern.

Anyways, if any applicant doesn't have a medical disease that would impart a huge burden on Canadian health care system, then he is good to go. There is no problem regarding his medical disease.

Hope you go all well. All the best for further procedures. :)
