Hello there, I am in a quite complicated situation and will be really thankful if someone can help me. Following is my profile:

1) Education: 2 masters: 1 from Germany, and another one from Canada (Alberta). Graduated from a Canadian one in 2014.
2) Age: 28
3) Language skills: Just passed IELTS, and following are my scores: Listening: 7 / Reading: 7.5 / Writing: 6.5 / Speaking: 8.
4) Work experience: have 3 years of work experience out of Canada. NOC A (4163).
5) Do not have a job offer in Canada (yet).
6) Marital status: single, never married.
7) Visa status: I have a post-graduation work permit which expires in 31.12.2016. Right after graduation (in 2014) I went back to my country where I wasted 2 years of my work permit. Currently I am in Canada (arrived on 1st of May, 2016). Now want to submit my Express Entry profile.

My question is: I want to get a PR (what a surprise, eh?!) and want to stay in Alberta. I know that I should apply through Express Entry program. However, my chances seem to be slim as I have no offer so far. How would you value my chances ? What should I do for increasing my chances? I have only 6 months left and it seems that processing time for Express Entry program, and later for being considered for the PR takes a long time. I would highly appreciate any advice.

Thanks in advance.

may be you are confused between FSW points & CRS points.

You checked your eligibility under FSW which you qualified by scoring 72 points. But you haven't chekec your CRS points.

follow the link and check your score for EE.

Thanks for the link. My crs score is 400 which is quite low (these are without Provincial nominee letter and a job offer). Considering that I dont have that much time, what will you suggest.

One more question: do I need to get an ECA report on my non-Canadian degree or it would be meaningless as I have a canadian one?!

Thanks for the help.

You have to secure nomination or job offer to get ITA. Check if you can score anywhere near to 450-460 by taking IELTS again.

All the best

Thank you for advice, but securing a job or nomination will add 600 points which will make my total score 1000. Without getting a job or a nomination, even if I get 9 from all IELTS sections, my score will be 481 which doesn't mean anything next to 1000...

You do not have to be close to 1000. The cutoff for the last draw is 483 so you can expect the score fluctuate around 480 in coming draws. so if you can get 9 band in every module in IELTS you can expect an ITA in next 4 or 5 months with your predicted score of 481.

Dear IMGNSPNP, I have one more question, and would really appreciate if you can help me with it.

I have 3 degrees, one of which is from Canada. Should I get an ECA report on the rest of them? I want to know whether it will add any points to my CRS score or not.

Thanks in advance.
