Hello,

As an international student accompanied by family: has anyone here had the experience of going to university in a different province from where your children attend school?
I have a friend whose children would like to attend Catholic school in Ontario but their father is in Atlantic Canada. What is the chance of getting admission?

Thanks.

Do the children have study permits too? Usually a parent must live in the school board to enrol their kids (pay taxes to the board). Talk to the school board to find out if they allow admission if you don’t live in the board area. Most times this is not allowed. The father needs residence in the school board area.

Usually you cannot enrol your children if you don’t have residency in that school board plus it is a different province. If they are paying international fees to the school board then yes. Again talk to the board.

Thanks. Waiting to hear from the school board on the same.
