Good day, my husband is in the process of applying for temporary visa as internal transfer from a European branch to Canada.
As the wife I will apply for dependant visa with our two children. I am being treated for hight intraocular pressure with eye drops (beta blockers). This is the treatment to anticipate damages from glaucoma. Would this medical condition block my visa application? I understand illnesses impacting health in the long run might and I read that for dependants the threshold of healthcare costs might not apply. Is that correct?
This medical info will of course be fully disclosed and documented.
Thank you

It should not affect your visa unless your situation is a burden to the healthcare system. Depending where you live eye care is out of pocket costs for most people. And your interpretation of dependants being exempt from threshold for costs is not correct.

FYI - there is no such thing as a dependant visa. You are either applying for a visitor or open work permit. Your children, depending on ages, should apply for study permits.

This would be covered and under the care of an ophthalmologist.
