Hello,
I wrote about this back when it happened, about 2 years ago now. I went to Canada for a Holiday but was rejected entry on the grounds that the IO thought I would remain in the country to work etc, even though I had a job here in the UK, I was also going to visit my girlfriend who it had turned out had overstayed her Visa in the Country (how ever the IO was convinced that I didn't know that was the case, which I didn't) his main concerns were work etc. My girlfriend is now legally living in Canada. He also stated some silly things, such as me having a "poor relationship" with my family, despite not being asked a single question about my family or home life. Even for my job which is Ground Maintenance, use of various heavy machinery etc, he put in the report that I was a Janitor.
I'm looking at going back next year but I'm not sure. I don't want to say that I'm going to see my girlfriend because it'll come back from last time that she was in the country illegally and that they may think I won't leave. I'll be staying in a hotel and will have proof of that, I'll have a job etc. Is it going to be better off saying that I'm going just for the holiday and site seeing etc? Which is true as I want to visit Niagara Falls etc. Or should I say that I'm going to be seeing my Girlfriend?
P.S, when I was deported I left voluntarily back to the UK, and I was told I could return.
Thanks.
