Delhi - Parents Immigration - Landing fee...what does it mean

Hello,

3 weeks back we received a letter from consulate office in Delhi asking "Please ask your sponsor to subit landing fee in Canada".

What does this mean, does it mean that the application has been approved? The eCas still says "in process".

Now we submitted the fee and passports 2 weeks back, how lond goes the Delhi office take to return the passports.

Yes,

Final stage is going on and soon you will get the visa.

I think they would have asked you for Landing fees and latest PCCs. After this in a months time they will ask for the passport and as per my experience it take 10-20 days to send passport back with the visa.

Actually they asked for PCC, landing fee and passport all in one letter. So I paid the fee, got PCC and submitted the passport and now we are waiting.

Hopefully we will get the visa soon

New Delhi asks for all these things in very last stage. And as they have asked Passports too so it means they are actually ready to issue visa. Now two things are there
1. You will be getting your visa 100% for sure
2. Few more days wait now and you will get your passports back.

I don't remember the exact dates but there is the approx. timeline
1. Application sent to Mississauga - July 2007
2. Approval of sponsorship - Sept/Oct 2010
3. Papers filed in Delhi - March 2011
4. Medical request received - Dec 3rd , 2011
5. PCC & Passport request - Oct 2012

From what I have seen, they ask for Landing fee 6-8 months after receiving medical. Now the issue is thet PCC is already 6 months old at this time and you need to do a new PCC. So they will return the passports when they ask for Landing fee and you will need a new PCC. If your medical was done in Oct 2012, the visa would most likely come in Aug/Sept 2013 ( just beofre medical expire)

The updated timeline for parents canada sponsorship is:
Applied : sept 24,2007
Document to CPC-M : Dec 2011
approval and file tx to new delhi : May 2012
medical sent: July 2012
RPRF/PCC/PASSPORT sent: NOV 2012
