Delay in Work Permit extension application.

Hi Team,

Here is my story, I am an applicant of paper based P.R. I applied for my work permit extension which got declined because I paid less fees accidentally however I reapplied my work permit extension before my work permit expired. I applied second time on November 23rd 2018. As per website they said it take 84 days however I am waiting from 125 days already. I called CiC and they told me in Feb 27 2019 Cic agent done all steps and my permit is in printing queue and hasn't been finalized yet, it won't take month. it been a month now and I hasn't heard anything. I sent them web form and they just send me a generic response saying it is in processing and I will be informed whenever decision made.

This is a huge stress on brain, pretty much everyone got their permit applied after me and it is huge pain to call Cic again they are always has 45-50 min wait and weekend they are not open.

is anyone has an idea why this is happening to my application only or it is same of bunch of other people as well. any help, suggestion will be appreciated.

Don't be stressed. Since you applied before your permit expired, you are in implied status and therefore it makes no difference.

Next time you call them, ask for your application number and then link it to online account. You can then see the updates online. The reasons for delay cannot be commented on until you share your full information like what your status was, what program you applied under, and what not.

I gave them my application number and cic call centre have no idea why my application got stuck now they are sending follow up to the officer

Finally got approved after 154 days. right after PPR request.
