Two questions:
1) about 5 weeks ago, Canada consulate message me asking to send them my passport. Does this guarantee that my visa has been approved?
2) shortly after their notice date, I fell seriously ill with dengue fever. Their letter said passport must be received within 30 days otherwise application may be rejected. If I provided a letter with proof that I was ill, will the consulate make an exception and still grant me the visa if answer to 1) was ‘yes’? They will have received the passport a week late.
