Delay in Initial Application for Family Class Permanent Residency under FSW Program at CPC Nova Scotia

Initial application was filed and despatched on 25.04.2009. till 21st of July 2009, DD application fee did not encash at CPC, Nova scotia and no response till date.

All members are requested to help and advise me in the matter.

where did you send from? did you use a courier? do you know if it reached there or not?

Now first thing is to confirm if they received ur application or not, did u use the Indian postal serivice courier option , u can track it to see if it reached or not?

i presume you did not send by courier. If its been 3 months, its too long. I would suggest cancelling your DD and starting all over again, but i dont know if that is the right advice.

I agree with Rupeshhari , if it was sent with normal service then i seriosuly doubt the delivery.

another option will be to try sending a fax to sydney asking them abt it , although not sure if they will reply.

)) I think it is just a misunderstanding of the correct name for the FSW category.

mistake made by sunandan is that he chose the wrong agency to trust with such an important document. he must have chosen some courier company like bluedart, ffcl, dhl etc. who are known for their good service. i fully agree with Rupeshwari. as 3 months have past he must get the DD cancelled and start again. but b4 that sunandan, u must check whether ur package is delivered at all or not.

Please advice me once more.

I have contacted my Bank where I purchased the the DD. the bank Official told me that they can cancel the DD only after getting the Indemnity Bond from both i.e. purchaser and drawee. I that drawee can not issue the Idemnity Bond for non encashment or stating in the I Bond that DD not required by them.

Please Advise as to what should be next step for me.

If I were you, I would try find out somehow if they received it or not. If no luck with that, then apply again. I guess if you apply again, you would have to almost loose that money because teh drawee is not going to give you an indemnity bond, if they had not received it.

Hello Every one,

I sent my FSW application (full documents) through my canadian lawyer to CHC, New Delhi on 16th April-09 which received by them on 20th of April-09 as per courier tracking. I am having AEO and apply for NOC, I am an Indian. but more than 3 month already been passed but no message from them ever no AOR. I had put DD in Can $ which I got issued from Royal Bank Canada which's encashment status I dont know?

Some one has told me that I should have apply to Nova Scotia. What should I do now? please help me out.
My lowyer is saying that it takes 4 months time to get file number or AOR these days. Kindly advice?

They changed the rules for FSW2 earlier this year. Prior to that, you had to send your application to the visa office. After that, it was supposed to go to Sydney first. I am sure this change happened either on Feb 1st or Apr 1st. Either way, your lawyer is wrong. If that is the case, you should fire him after you give him a piece of your mind.

Wait for others to answer when that particular date of change of rules was.
